Shipping is NOT included in these prices.
After you submit the commission request form, I will provide you with an exact quote, including shipping, based on your requests.
I live and work in South Carolina, so I have to pay SC sales tax. So if you live in South Carolina you must pay 6% sales tax.
If you have a size of canvas in mind but don’t see it listed below, let me know! I am more than happy to get whatever size canvas you are looking for!
Canvas Paintings vs. Wood Slices
INFO FOR PAINTINGS ON CANVASES:
Canvases are a stretched cotton canvas with a traditional profile.
I prime each canvas with 1-2 layers of gesso to create a smoother surface
Paintings are varnished with Gamvar Gloss to protect from aging colors and dust.
INFO FOR PAINTINGS ON WOOD SLICES:
I have wood slices in various different sizes. Pricing will be about the same for slices comparable to the listed canvas sizes. However, obviously, the wood slices are not exactly the same size as the canvases. The prices provided just give a good gauge of what can be expected for a wood slice of similar size.
If you are interested in a wood slice painting, I will send you pictures, measurements, and quoted prices of available slices I have. If I don’t have a size or style cut that you are looking for, and if I have logs that have not already been cut, I can try to make a custom slice for you.
Each wood slice is finished with 2-3 coatings of lacquer to protect the wood from moisture, and to hold together the lovely textures of bark. The painted face has a layer of varnish to protect from aging colors.
If you would like to make one of the smaller wood slices an ornament, I can attach a hook with string for hanging.
For larger slices, I can attach a picture hanging bracket on the back.
The wood is sourced from my family’s property in Blue Ridge, GA!
